Professional Course Offerings
- The CDC requires annual review of Infection Control procedures and the Minnesota Board of Dentistry (MNBoD) requires dental professionals comply with the most current CDC Guidelines.
- Employers must provide an annual review of the most current OSHA and Blood Borne Pathogens standards.
- All licensed dental professionals are required to maintain CPR/AED certification for HealthCare Providers. New 2018 standards require training on feedback mannequins that determine rate and depth of compressions.
- Medical Emergency Training is one of the MNBoD Fundamental Professional Development requirements. Medical Emergencies should be renewed annually and be specific to each office. It is recommended to go through scenarios that may occur in the dental office.
- The MNBoD asks each office to have a written Medical Emergency action plan specific to its employees and location.
- The American Academy of Periodontics introduced a new Periodontal Classification System in 2018 that includes a 2 part-diagnosis. The MNBoD requires utilizing this system in all clinical documentation.

A 2 or 3*-hour Infection Control Course based on the most current CDC Guidelines. Includes updated Blood Borne Pathogens information, OSHA standards review, radiology safety review, and a free, optional, office-specific walk-through consultation. | $350

American Heart Association (BLS) CPR Training
A 2.5-hour American Heart Association CPR/AED Course for Healthcare Professionals (BLS). This course includes the required use of a feedback mannequin. | $85 / person
Managing Medical Emergencies in the Dental Office
A 2-hour Medical Emergency training course. Includes review of your office medical emergency kit and portable oxygen system, a review of CPR protocol, discussion of the management of the most common medical emergencies in the dental office with practice scenarios and a written medical emergency plan tailored to your office. | $350
2018 AAP Classification Update, Implementation and Treatment Planning
A 2-hour presentation of new AAP Classification Guidelines with treatment planning, insurance codes, and interactive practical case studies. | $350
CAMBRA Assessment and Utilization
A 2-hour course designed to recognize dental caries as an infectious disease and utilize the CAMBRA screening process to document patient risk as well as treatment planning in the clinic. Analyze patient comprehension of risk factors and necessary home care. | $350
Silver Diamine Fluoride Integration
A 2-hour course in understanding the science, benefits and risks of silver diamine fluoride utilization for both child and adult patients. Comprehensive discussion, including case studies, to help integrate SDF into your clinic. | $350
Safe Patient Handling
A 2-hour course to review Minnesota OSHA and CDC NIOSH mandated safe patient handling program and protocols for the dental clinic. Includes hands-on practice of safe patient handling skills. | $350
